almost sounds like the timing belt is broken/jumped

I had a 97 impreza with sort of the same problem< and it turded out to be the crank sensor< hope that helps

thank you for all the replys but yes it was the timming, it was jumped or off by a notch, ended up redoing it in 40 mins and got it back good as new... thanks, u guys helped me out a great deal, but this car is no longer with me :( but yeah i hopped for those that did watch it helped :D
