I think people are forgetting that Shoshanna was dating the black guy. I don't think there was any way she would have had a relationship with Federick. Maybe distant friends at most.

@hautxtalons I wouldn't think a relationship would have occurred - remember Shoshanna was with the black guy. But I think there was a moment of sympathy (?) or connection between her and Fed. Fed was just naive and young.
