ok first off the loading on the main rotor head is rated at X tones and the machine only weighs under 500 kgs. now the guy that was flying in the video seemed to be flying slow before he landed, or the rotors arnt big enough , just didnt see much ground effect when he landed, but seems sturdy , and the biggest thing for any sort of flying is the maintenance, heli pilots are a breed in them selves just like gyro pilots every machine has good points and bad points. p.s i fly gyros to ;)

@tastycougs I think the blades are fine in size for this machine. The pilot pulled back high and slowed down pretty high off the runway to demonstrate the suspension on this machine. Even crappy pilots can fly this one! On any other gyro, that would have been a hard landing and there is a good chance that it could bend up landing gear or something like that.

the pilot does not use parachute?
I know maybe this never happened but what does the pilot will do if he loses the main rotor in flight??
!!just fall with the machine and expected to survive?!

@DanielMadrigalC If the main rotor is lost in flight, the pilot will probably just fall with the machine, but will probably not expect to survive. Luckily that is not a common thing to happen. I have actually never heard of it happening on a gyro....and there are some pretty iffy gyros out there. Sportcopter specializes in their rotorheads and rotorblades.
