  • Amazing! He's the best player not to be able to make the starting lineup of an MLS team! What a wunderkind! Of course he would be at Man U or Barcelona. No one on those teams is good enough to crack the starting lineup of an MLS team either. Or maybe he just sucks and is vastly over rated. Yeah, that sounds about right. He sure helped the US in the world cup this year. He's so good that Benefica has loaned him out the past two years. They do that with all of their stars.

  • @p1q0 He was an all star in MLS (2x) and a consistent starter by his third season.

  • this was under 21 team

  • it was the Under 23 Olympic team, with three overage players allowed per squad.

  • AMAZING! He was 18/19 doing this like he was a prime Maradona. I Bet if he was Brazilian he would be at Man U or Barcelona, but because he represens the US, they say Americans suck no matter how good they are. So he is obviously underrated. I maan Drenthe is at Real Madrid, and Adu totattly outclassed him the whole game. And Adu is only at Benfica,,, pure underrated because he is AMerican.

  • We've all known Freddy is very, very talented but the selfishness is going to have to go if he is to truly have success on the big stage. Case in point, :39 and 1:23. Instead playing the killer ball through, he instead holds and forces un off-balanced shot or gets stuck. Again, he is incredibly talented, but still is lacking maturity.

  • @bosstime15 I seen him play against brazil and make a couple of great passes to his teammates who then acted like they never touched a soccer ball in there life. He's one of the only members on the US team who is good in a clutch.

  • If he can get his head straight, he'll be good. He needs to play in England where there's a large emphasis on team play. There were a couple of passes that would have probably resulted in goals that he didn't make. Once he becomes aware of his teammates around him, he'll be very dangerous. If that never happens, he'll just be okay.

  • @wrightnum3 He had a trial at man utd and didnt get in. so he had his chance at a big club

  • Agree.
