A chilly winter's day hike on the Duckabush River Trail in the Olympic Mountains just a little south of Brinnon, Washington. Lots of fresh snow for this approximately 7 mile and 1300 feet elevation gain round trip hike. This is a great winter trail with some moderate exertion towards the end up the switchbacks to the Big Hump. There is lots of water along this trail and the runoff created some really nice ice formations and a fine panoramic view just below the Big Hump.
Having learned a lot from previous video postings I am improving but technique and quality is a work in progress. True of many things I suppose and future videos will benefit from this.
However, I do trust you enjoy this view of our hike and can flow with my learning curve.
If you haven't been on this trail I suggest you explore it though if you do it in winter you probably would want to carry micro spikes. Ice can form on the higher parts of the switchback trail and make the passage difficult and the footing uncertain.
I enjoyed seeing this Jeff. You have an artist's eye. You saw the beautiful detail of the intricate water, ice, moss and rock and I thought that came out rather well. I'm looking forward to more videos. Jim
