These places do exist. The reason many people have no idea is because most people will rather just lie and tell their friends they were in jail than to admit that they went through this hell that our own parents sent us to. I know this as a fact because I was one of those kids.

"Real" boot camp so you're telling me that in the marines boot camp you can't speak to your family or have any connection to the outside world, you get beaten up, sexually abused, raped, forced to eat your feces, and even killed(because kids have died in these kinds of places)?! NO, that actually doesn't happen in Marine boot camp, marines are treated like freaking princesses compared to what these kids go through. BTW these programs don't even work.

I was in Straight Inc. in Springfield, VA for 5 months in 1989. Made 2nd Phase & my entire house copped out. I was the only one who wasn't returned to the program. I watched the entire film for the first time last night & it captures so much of what I experience down to the smallest detail. I had no idea that this type of injustice was still going on on a nationwide scale. I guess I've spent the last 20 years trying to forget about it. My hat's off to you Mr. Gaglia.

You don't have control over other people. No matter what, you'll simply die, and your 'accomplishments' will likely mean nothing. Despite what society promotes, anyone who isn't a brainwashed tool (non-brainwashed tools probably only encompass 1% of society) is likely more intelligent than their inferior counterpart, who can't even think for themselves. Children aren't slaves, you don't control them anymore than you do a roommate or some random person who walks into your house.

I'll start by informing you that anyone who doesn't blindly obey authority like a brainwashed tool isn't a 'bad' person. You're not somehow more important or more intelligent than someone else simply because of your age. Now, while most teenagers and adults are simply brainwashed tools, indoctrinated to believe what society, the government, their parents, and even churches tell them to, your sense of morals is not absolute.

Djefefre,First of all, Congratulations on your three and a half years of recovery. However, I was a client forced into one of these facilities called, "Straight, Inc." After 20 years, I still have weekly nightmares, PTSD, panic attacks, and severe social problems. They use abuse and humiliation to get kids to do what they are told to do. Horrible abuse and I know from my own experiences that they DO EXIST and that they ARE ABUSIVE and they leave a scar on your life forever.
