Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space - C-Kicker in Spring 1970

This is Anton kicking my a$$ in a PBEM game of BARIS. He beat me to the Moon, then emailed me this movie of his winning flight, combined with music--to better gloat over his victory, no doubt. ;)

I think the addition of the music gives it a polished, Hollywood-style feel that a straight captured video wouldn't have. The first song is "Ukroschenie Ognya" (Taming of Fire). The second, the one with subtitles, is "Ya Veryu, Druz'ya" (I Believe, my Friends).

Peyre, what do you think about addition of the actual subtitles to the video? I still have got the .srt file with the subtitles that you can dirrectly feed to the YouTube video caption editor.

I know this is kinda old, but I only ran into this vid today. I enjoyed watching this movie, a wonderful tribute to a great game. Congratulations on your nice victory! I could actually still feel the nerves when the red bars came up during lunar descent stage and the EVA... XD

No, thanks. The game was already nervous enough. Honestly I thought peyre would win - I crashed Gagarin (the 1st historical cosmonaut), Titov (the 2nd historical cosmonaut) and Komarov (the one who died due to the parachute failure on Soyuz I) due to parachute failure on ... Soyuz I. So I was well behind him for the rest of the game until peyre sunk his primary crew just before the lunar landing.
