A nice looking knife, but way too expensive for what you are getting in terms of steel and sheath. I think Sog really rides the mystic of late 1960's to make their sales. Most of their line is very pricey for what they are, but they look damn nice.

A KA-BAR IS BETTER THAN A SOG

@HOUNDF0X youre chinese shit!

The maker is the buyers choice...any good field knife will have the same charactoristics.....thick non breakble blade, good edge holding steel, full tang, comfortable handle and affordable. The best knife in the world is worthless if you cant afford to buy it, and any knife I take to the field I am prepared to loose (murphys law). If you cant afford to loose a $300 knife then dont take it out. User not collector.

Guys shut up already. You want Ka-Bar, I want SOG. They want Cold Steel, he wants Gerber. It all comes down to preference when it comes down to a knife or anything for that matter. It's not like the people buying SOG (NOT the Fusion line) are buying a $10 Winchester bowie from Walmart.

Gunny, put your name behind some American made products. Semper Fi?
Signed, a former Marine

I have not researched SOG knives to see if they were ever made in the US. As Gunny is a Marine it is hard for me to believe that he would endorse knives made with commie slave labor. But I guess he is........
To respond to your comment, two Army guys were at my shop getting knives for Iraq. One had a SOG with him, being the smart ass that I am, I said "let me see that", and I peeled the edge off his knife with mine. You should have seen his face. They got 3 better American knives.
