also, the M3 CSL, (the m3's version of a shelby gt500), lapped the Ring in 7:32. faster than, hold on. let me get warmed up, a PAGANI ZONDA, A MB SLR MCLAREN, A BUGATTI VEYRON!!!!!! (which, mr. "no replacement for displacement", has 16 cylinders and 1001 HP!), A FORD GT, A LAMBO MUCIELAGO, A 911 TURBO, and is TIED with a PORSCHE CARRERA GT (10 cyl.)

@roman0078 dont believe everything you read dipshit. real world #'s for the mach are 325-330hp. they were underrated after the 01 cobra recall & complete revision of the 32 valve in 02. ford even had advertising material printed up with a 330hp rating. stock these cars are dead even in speed & handling considering the mach's have custom running gear & the best wieght bias of any production mustang besides the cobra R

@BosnianPasa well that goes 2 show how little you know - they have the same 1/4 mile & 0-60 times & the same hp considering the mach's were greatly underrated & make around 325-330hp. the mach driver has his head up his ass 4 this race

My 00 mustang gt is faster than e46 m3's so how is a Mach 1 barley hanging on?

My daily driver is E46 328i and E30 325 weekends. 328i is more responsive with Signature Motoring performance (CAI) intake kit. Installed it myself in under half hour. HP increase on the E46 is about 13.5HP for a cost of $170 or around $17 per HP gain. Best 1st performance mod to do. Other application data:
E30 series: 6.0-13.4hp gain
E36 series: 5.5-12hp gain
E46 series: 6.0-13.9hp gain
E92 series: 8.5+ hp gain
Z3/Z4 (all): 5.5-13.9hp gain
