Yet another rocking song from back in the day that's virtually forgotten.

We have one computer between my husband & I and the in-laws who live with us so we are one big happy family but my computer time is limited.
I guess I'll stick around here and give the rest of them a chance!
You Tube seems great though...Kenny my husband loves it but doesn't have time to have a channel. Too busy with work (landscaper).

EdisonSquirrel: I also have that RCA Vintage series album, with Valentino's funeral entourage on the cover. Great music, not silly stuff. Nat Shilkret's selections were excellent, and I miss them now, because I'm not listening to the phonograph now.

If there's anyone (aside from Benny Goodman) I would like to have met, was Joe Venuti, who was still active until the 1980s. His jazz violin collab with Eddie Lang not only created the genre, it also spawned the collab with Django Rhinehart and Stephane Grapelli. Venuti INVENTED this jazz violin style we know today. All the TV commercials with jazz violin are indebted to Venuti.

A GREAT song. Your comments about meeting a musician from the Jean Goldkette band are very interesting. By now of course, the parade's gone by, and there's no hope of ever meeting these people who made the most magical era in American music. I had several chances to meet Artie Shaw a few years ago, but I blew it. I do remember seeing Paul Whiteman as a kid in the 60s. He lived in Bucks County and my Dad & I would see him in the supermarket on weekends, but it was a always a polite nod, no fuss.

This doesn't sound like the issued take isn't this from the LP?

Is that you in the red shirt standing next to that little guy? How tall are you, about 5'10"'?
