We often get asked "Which camera is the best for shooting video for my business?" The answer, which I'm sure you've hear is, "Whichever one you're going to use!" With that being said, the title of this blog post might be a bit misleading.

A few weeks ago we did a four part series on the health of the real estate industry. It was extremely well received. You should know though that the Top or Best app is similar to the camera, it's the one you're going to use. That being said here are the best apps we've found for tracking your fitness and nutrition goals.

Endomondo

The first app up is called Endomondo. Endomondo is touted as a sport based community that uses a free GPS app to track your running, cycling, walking, etc. The community feel comes from the fact that these actions are tracked and logged online.

All of this data is available for you to evaluate and monitor your progress over time. The community aspect comes into play because you can gauge your data against friends or the entire community. This helps to keep you motivated and provide support.

The tagline alone explains why we love this app: Track your workouts. Challenge your friends. Analyze your training.

In the hyper-competitive business of real estate we understand the importance of these three key factors to success. You track your business. We compete against our peers, and ourselves. We analyze what's working and what isn't. Now you can do the same for all your distance based exercising.

Gorilla Workout

Gorilla Workout is a fitness based app that combines fast-paced, no-equipment exercises into 4 levels of training. All the exercises are body weight only and can be done virtually anywhere.

For every level you start on Day 1 and work your way through a day-by-day workout regimen. This cumulative approach to fitness will push you to make it to the next level. Once you've completed that Day's workout you can even share it with sites like Twitter and Facebook. This helps to add encouragement and motivation to your workouts.

This app has many features: 40+ bodyweight exercises 4 fitness levels so no matter what kind of shape you're in your guaranteed a great workout Easy to follow day-by-day workout regimen containing hundreds of unique workouts based on your fitness level Real life video demonstration and detailed text description of each exercise Full body workouts that will target upper body, lower body, and core while also vastly improving cardiovascular endurance Ability to share via Facebook and Twitter Gorilla Workout is a global app, so once you purchase it you get it on all your devices (iTouch, iPhone, iPad)

Check this app out if you're looking to ease back into a workout routine, or if you're trying to get out of a workout rut.

MyFitnessPal

The last app on our list is one of Corri's favorites, MyFitnessPal. This app is so much more than your standard calorie counter. It boasts over 1 million food items, your own personal food database, free mobile apps, personalized diet profiles and much more.

We've talked about the importance of nutrition before and study after study has confirmed the benefits of tracking your food in conjunction with what you eat. It's pretty simple, the more consistent you are about tracking your intake, the more likely you're to lose weight.

This is the best app we've found for keeping a food diary and activity log. Using this app you can track your weight lose goals and see detailed reports of all your progress. Studies show that 80% of weight lose comes from nutrition, that makes this one of the best app you can use.
