My very very loose adaptation of the Hounds of Tindalos, by Frank Long, part of Lovecraft's mythos. Shot in a day in HDV, edited in Final Cut HD.

There's 10 seconds of colors bars at the beginning and it's in anamorphic, which is why it'll look kind of long-faced! I'll upload a corrected version later tomorrow, I guess...

  • I like the colors, it had that dirty, sick, scarey feeling to it. I'm an American so I couldn't understand what she was saying, but I think I understood a little. It felt like a poem. I liked it. One thing I must critique, your sound design sounded pretty flat. When the dogs were barking, you cut off the audio too soon.

  • Yeah, I must work the sound a bit more... Thanks!

  • thanks! you can see more of "the girl" aka Magenta Baribeau if you do a search for her on YouTube :)

  • Not bad. Tindalos' "bark" is not very impressive, but colors, girl and the scenario are good - weird short, I like it.

  • I concur. The vid has great visuals, but sound design is seriously half the game.

  • Note taken. My bad. I'll make the change.

As for the feel, I wanted to get as far away as possible from the 20s, old professors in dusty labs, as possible. Hence the rivethead look to it.

    Thanks for the comment!
