I read up on this acid rain glitch in Platinum, so I decided to emulate the steps taken to activate it and see if I could do it myself. I tested this with Blakdragon from the Regileague chat. The video basically shows how certain pokemon are affected by the "acid rain". Parasect is healed twice in acid rain. Castform transforms into his rain form, but, his weather ball isn't water type, because it does neutral damage to Tangrowth. It's weather ball type must be rock because of sandstorm also being in play.

  • mine was different

i used pursuit while hail was going and ALL the weather stuff started happening and our pokes were damaged by our abilities

  • thats because there is a hierarchy of effects, and depending on the field effect currently out it uses it and all the ones below it. They are:

    1.Trick Room

    2.Gravity

    3.Uproar

    4.Fog (hurts after animation)

    5.Hail (hurts after animation)

    6.Sunshine (hurts after animation)

    7.Sandstorm (hurts after animation)

8.Rain (Hurts after animation. Glitch cannot be activated using this weather)

  • You did it wrong somehow. Only rain and sandstorm are there. And their abilities should be hurting them, so something went wrong.

  • lol I like the nicknames. I still want to see this with trick room in effect

  • What's the music? I recognize it as some kind of remix of Ryu's theme...

  • LardASS xD nice

  • @gold3263301 True, if Castform had a Rock form. But sadly, it doesn't.

  • Castform should have switched between forms indefinitely :/

  • @randomtrivia384 i havent seen it in a while but i remember it being at least over 400. strangely its attack wasnt all that good, but it had unusually good sp. atk so i taught that moveset

  • @silentsniper5789 What's it's speed then?

  • @randomtrivia384 thanks but seriously think (and im going out on a whim here) that every pokemon can be different despite stat rules. i have never seen a legitamate pokemon faster than my ambipom

  • @silentsniper5789 Hmm, interesting thing to claim, but it sounds like you haven't done your research. An Ambipom with the the best possible combination of nature, IVs, and EVs can only hit a maximum of 361, but there are 24 Pokémon with a higher base speed stat (so a higher max speed); the fastest is Speed Forme Deoxys at max 504, then Ninjask at max 460. I'm sure there are people who spend the time it takes to get perfect stats, I just wish I had the patience to do it. Nice moveset though.
