Up until today I hadn't experienced any bugs at all in DA:O but now I've suddenly ran into a lot of trouble all at one. For whatever reason, everytime I try to talk with my party member Leliana she reverts to the very first dialogue I had with her back in Lothering before she joined the party (this also happened with Sten at one point though with no other effect on the game). What happens after that dialogue is even weirder, though, since the party suddenly gets teleported into areas of the current map where they should not be able to walk around, It seems to happen on all maps but is especially hilarious when there's a lot of water nearby...

Just half an hour after this rather amusing bug, I encountered a much more serious and potentially game-breaking glitch which involves one of the main quests in the game. I really hope there's going to be more patches to this game soon...

  • Lucky you. It wasn't until I reinstalled the game that things returned to normal.

    By the way, the teleport bug "worked" on all maps, not just Calenhad Docks (I only chose this place because of the hilarious water-walking it produced). For example, if you triggered the bug on the camp site you would get stuck on the hillside just on the edge of the map...

  • I knew it! I knew it! EA fucks up every game they publish. They are fucking disgraceful.

  • Ah, but EA isn't the evil empire anymore, remember? Nowadays it's Activision Blizzard, which has a CEO (Bobby Kotick) who glady says things like "the goal that I had was [...] to take all the fun out of making video games".

    Seriously, though, I'm hardly shocked to discover that a complex massive +50 hour RPG will come shipped with lots of bugs that will have to be ironed out over the course of the next few months. It's practically inevitable given the sheer size of the project...

  • whats odd is that i have played the game over 3 times, and have only ever experienced one tiny dialog bug

  • OMG I recently got this glitch. But it happens when i talk to the dog companion, but same place same time as you. Does anyone how to fix it? its driving me crazy! Also, I started a new character today and when I got to the grey warden's fortress and started to head out into the wilds, Alistair didn't join the party and when I encountered the dying soldier in the forest, Alistair was talking, but he was invisible. These glitch are fuken BS
