this is bullshyt. bad posture. you should feel your lungs expanding out(horizontally) instead of "vertically". breathing is easy, dont complicate things.
A word of advice to aspiring singers watching this video: Don't hunch your shoulders over like this guy is doing. That's bad posture for singing. It also will further limit the amount of air intake. Sit straight, relax your shoulders, and DON'T push your neck inwards towards your body(like he is doing..). That will cause tension in your throat.When you breathe correctly, your shoulders should NOT be rising. Otherwise you're doing it WRONG.Careful everyone, this vid is misleading.
it took my cousin about a week to teach this to me and i didnt get it....thanx for the video, now i can control my breath, my voice's main problem. now i just have to work on everything else.....
You really have a great way of making the complication of breathing control easy to understand. This was the hardest thing for my Vocal Coach to teach me! Breathing IS EVERTHING! I posted a video response for you.
