Check it out in 720p.
This is a project I created for an advanced editing class. The assignment was to develop an intro for a fictional TV series that involves a man with split personality. He sells stolen goods on an underground market and also holds a legitimate job as a flour salesman in the Minneapolis river district. The criteria (mandatory visual elements) I was given for this was: Minneapolis riverfront, the economy of flour, 1880's-present contrast, split personality of criminal/businessman and urban/suburban contrast. The look I was trying to accomplish is a gritty underground business that is contrasted by his dominant personality (flour sales). I used conventional and digital methods to create imagery. Those are actual flour "paintings" I made with brushes and other tools that dissolve into the actual filmed world. 3D text was created in Maya software to incorporate the fictional cast with the grungy environment as well.
The song is "46 and 2" by Tool.
Thanks for watching.
