  • apples and oranges...

  • I can't believe that I acutally have this record in my basement. Great to hear it online. Thx.

  • I corrected the pitch since the lp was mastered too fast.

  • i love this song more on the album "Fables of the reconstruction" version, i listened to that album in 2000 and it reminds me nice things, above all this song! Thanks to have posted it

  • Possibly my favourite R.E.M song. Saw them live back in 1985 playing a lot of the fables album. This song gets me deep. Reminds me of my first love (ha!) and my parents divorce which happened at the same time.

  • so glad you posted this.

the "maybe you're not the problem" line always gets me.

  • right on man!! ive got this but worse quality. my favourite rem song for a long long time. thx!!

    still f*cks me up lol!!

  • The emotion of this song is overwhelming. This is feelings expressed through music, astonishing.

  • That's a good find. Good stuff...

  • One of my favorite songs of all time.

Nice to find a soundboard of it. There's a couple floating around, but they are few and far between.

Nice performance. Michael hitting the falsetto is always good.

I nearly shat myself when I heard they did it live in Dublin. He hits the notes there too, which is surprising considering the years of un-filtered nicotine and alcohol damage his vocal cords have likely sustained in the last three decades.

I'm glad the band has come around to appreciating.

  • I was at this show. Many years ago!
