Breathtaking 'signature' guitar tone, through a single VOX AC30 amplifier, as premier British blues guitarist Snowy White performed 'Red Wine Blues', when the Snowy White Blues Project Band appeared at the Mezz venue, in Breda, The Netherlands on Thursday May 13th, 2010.
UPDATE JULY 2010: New album 'In Our Time... Live', recorded during Dutch tour now available for download and CD pre-order. Click link: http://www.snowywhitebluesproject.com/
Among Snowy's achievements, guitarist with Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd, toured with Roger Waters. From Snowy's website: In 1974 he toured the east coast of America, getting as far south as New Orleans and discovering that he thoroughly enjoyed being on the road. He had by then become friendly with the now legendary English blues guitarist Peter Green and they spent a lot of time jamming together. In 1979 Peter Green decided to head for the studio once more and invited Snowy along to jam. The result was the album entitled 'In the Skies', now something of a collectors item.

His guitar playing reminds me a little of B B King. I love that high tenor sound in a blues song.

Snowy is a incredible guitarist. That Gibson gold top is incredible as well. He run over it one time and got real lucky it didn`t hurt it. What`s unique about Snowy is he and his paul are one, every note he plays sings. His vibrato is among the best out there. I think it`s a shame he doesn`t get the credit he deserves as to me he`s up there with Page, Clapton and Gilmour. His solo on Floyds "pigs on the wing" is my all time favorite. Incredible player, incredible tone. Snowy Rocks.

Pickups are out of phase, some vintage Les Pauls accidentally had one magnet flipped in one pickup, or since he was a great admirer of Peter Green he may have flipped it himself....

@davyaelmans ... you mean humbuckers, not p90's.. different pickups.. humbuckers are the versions found on the flame top and goldtop standards from 57-60.. for the most part.... snowy rocks
