Alexis visits Santa Cruz and Monterey

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon and we took a trip down to Santa Cruz. We walked around the board walk a bit and played on the beach. Then Alexis got a bit tired, so while she slept, we drove down to Monterey, one of our favorite places in California. Alexis wanted to see the aquarium (she's fond of animals!) and so we did. After taking a good look at the fish and other sea dwellers (particularly a seahorse which she liked a lot!) we had dinner in a place where we go almost every time: Isabella's on the municipal fisherman's wharf. We ate our 'signature dish' Buffalo Shrimp, and I had a trio of surf and turf. Beautifully cooked, very tasty - as always. It was a nice day in California, we enjoyed ourselves a lot.
