Surprising day. The forecast was for a blown out morning and then questionable for the afternoon. Turned out to be an amazing afternoon. Good strong thermals up to 3000 in front of the ridge. I should have ventured further behind the ridge to ride the termals higher but figured I'd just keep in the valley. Best thermal of the day was in the middle of the valley at 1250'. I rode it up to 2900' and then (I think) got into a wave. There was lift for what felt like hundreds of yards.
