Kato/Minitrix N scale layout - Kato レイアウトプラン No.306

The layout is a slightly modified Kato 306 from their track plans and still requires some finishing work to be done on it. I bought the two Minitrix locos over 20 years ago but never quite got around to building a layout. The original idea was for a LNER theme but when I began building back in Christmas 2010, I discovered that Minitrix had stopped building British outline decades ago, hence the strange assortment of rolling stock etc. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's fine for me for the present. I do have some old Peco NE wagons but the couplers do not like the necessary steep gradients on this layout (they uncouple going downhill!) so they remain in their boxes.
