Here is how I remove a virus (or other nastys like Trojans, Malware, Adware, Spyware, etc.,) The scenario goes like this; you enter a website often you are drawn to a site offering a popular product for a deep discount, or a hot unclad girl as a Wallpaper (there are other baits for those of other tastes like puppies, horses, babies, waterfalls, etc.,), and..

1.) immediately upon entering you get a "WARNING" pop-up bar stating that your computer may be infected, naturally most people will click on the on the red "X" in the upper right corner in an attempt to close the program but will infact ALLOW it to install since the hacker will oftentimes reverse the "X" with an "enter" or "I accept".

2.) you will see a install bar downloading all the Hackers best work as well as bullets indicating the status of your subsequent troubles.

3.) upon installation; especially if you reboot or unplug your computer, you will usually be bothered by a pop up window stating that your "computer is infected" & oftentimes info on how you can remove the virus for a fee (hey if some one violated you on the Information Super Highway; Then why would you trust them with your Credit Card no. & personal data to "fix" their con?? you just might get scammed twice or more!!)

THEREFORE I have devised this simple FREE fix utilizing your computer's "system Restore" which is a part of Windows XP and NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE SYSTEM RESTORE CD that is often the first option of business AFTER the virus properly installed itself

1.) to activate simply follow the steps in this video WHILE YOUR COMPUTER IS ON or (click "Start", Click "Help and Support", Click "System restore", Select a restore point a day or 2 earlier (even earlier if you have been having trouble longer but note that too early and you may run into problems if you overwrite any software you had installed previously, follow prompts like click "OK" when asked to do so & go from there.)

2.) I would recommend that you ATLEAST delete the contents of your "Temporary Internet Files Folder", the Page "History" in the case of IE or run "Private Browsing" with Firefox 3.6

You also might like to dump your cookies (but please keep in mind that doing so will cause you to loose pretyped/saved web page data, site settings, etc., so use diligence) ~ Hope this helps, Rate, Comment or Subscribe.

DISCLAIMER TO HACKERS: if you or any party thereof responsible for the design, installation or attempted installation of any said Virus, Trojan, or Spyware or Malware, etc., I Dan ~ A practicing Dark Arts Voodooist & former Satanist will place "African Shrivel Curse" from deep within the Congo upon your scrawny ass. this will take effect gradually and intensfy as time progresses. Few Shaman can reverse it's effects & even if partially successful the outcome shall be on par with a virus removed your brain in a vegetative state much like in the realm of PC's you infected.

  • to bad this doesnt remove them just temporarily hides them

  • @dsj0501 Ahh more like incapacitating them from doing their work even if not deleting them.

  • @Begbucks just means its a matter of time before they come back nothing about this is permanent.

  • @dsj0501 I never had them come back, but perhaps it's just luck.

  • @KittyKatt2113 Sorry you comment was auto flagged as spam, Ok now you need to access Safe Mode" from just prior to pre boot (on Windows XP during or just before the Windows bar appears [Blue SP3, Green SP2] that marques across) press gently F8 3 or 4 times to access Safe Mode & restore to a date well before you received the virus, dump all your cookies, internet file folder & never visit the site where you originally got this ;)

  • @KittyKatt2113 No in this instance it wasn't necessary as I never allowed the virus to install itself by giving in to the prompts or closing what was reconfigured to to "allow" vs "Close" . However if you have a Virus that did already penetrate your hard drive (& most already have System Restore disabling in their design) then you would have to use Safe Mode or if you turn off your computer when notified. to do this press F8 gently 3-4 times at initial pre-boot up, from the black screen.

  • @KittyKatt2113 Correction it's "F8" Key not "F1"

  • @KittyKatt2113 You can also watch my Trojan worm video to view how your safe more scree shall look (the resolution shall be way off, don't worry it should get back to normal upon a restore.)

    That should help you fine.
