  • @jkorath I was talking about standard notation itself came before he was born, not before tablature. Of course Standard notation wasn't the first. They had to go through many different mediums to come to having a "standard" way of notating music. Most of the time when someone wants tabs, they just want the 6 long lines with numbers on them. No rhythmic value, just #'s. I have seen good tabs, but i just would much rather either transcribe by ear or find the sheet music.

  • @dvstllrd

You would be my hero if you were willing to share it with me. I ended up landing on this page while searching for a tab of it.

  • @funnyguy1321

The opposite is true. For guitar, tablature came first, although it didn't look exactly like today's tablature. Standard notation for guitar came later. Personally, I think its nice to have both, but a good tab is just as good, or better, than standard notation.

Maybe all tabs you've seen sucked, but a good tab has all the same information, and possibly even a bit more. I can read both tabs and standard notation by the way.

  • @dvstllrd New Fangled?? You better be joking. Standard Notation came before you were even born. I am sure if you practice enough you could get better at reading Standard Notation. Plus it means knowing how to read the notes and the rhythms. Tabs only shows where to play it on guitar. A sad excuse to learn a song.

  • So if anyone wants tab for it... I have it now, haven't posted it anywheres.

  • @funnyguy1321 No thanks... Instead, I wrote out the tab so I could learn it. I can't read music fast enough to learn a song this complicated, but can do so well enough to write tab... And now I can play this awesome song pretty well. Anyway, you kids these days, with your new-fangled "standard notation"... Why, when I was your age, all we had was tablature, and we USED it!

  • @dvstllrd cuz it probably only exists in written notation. learn to read music.

  • I would like the tab for this so much. I can't find it anywhere... Anyone?

  • very good expression
