I had one of the best Christmases in years - seeing all sorts of family and friends over the past weeks. Sharing presents is always fun and planning on going to Cancun mexico in February! Yay!

  • I feel so un-Canadian. I haven't seen an episode of the Big Bang series yet. Is it on cable or on one of the local channels?

The winter seems to be lasting forever. It doesn't seem to stop snowing outside.

  • @HaleyMary - Big Bang Theory is on CTV and also on cable too. You should definitely see at least one episode - it's really hilarious :D

Tell me about this weather! At this rate we'll still have snow in April! :(

  • have you counted how many times you tilted your heard and raised your eyebrows and had this creepy stare going? lol

  • @GoodiGoodi - no, but I'm sure it's probably in the 100s! ;)

  • TWILIGHT!?!?! yuck. other than that sounds like a great christmas :)also, where is your shirt?

  • @Vanessiroth - Lol. It's the thought that counts, right? Poor Jeff didn't know I wasn't into the movies at all. How have you been Vanessa? What are you up to these days?

And for the lack of shirt? I didn't give it much thought. It was bedtime and my room can get pretty warm when the furnace runs.

  • @dafttool - you just reminded me of our Alaskan Malamute we had about 10 years ago. We used to tie him to a GT Snow Racer and have a blast going up and down our old crescent.

I guess it just depends on what kind of dog. My mom has a shih tzu and she never gets walked. Even when she has to poop outside she lifts her legs often because she doesn't want to touch the ground with her paws. lol. We also had a yellow lab when I was wee little and at least he had enough fur to brave the cold for walks.

  • @landongendur What confounds me is how do you walk your dogs? I'm a big dog person, but braving the cold & snow drifts, especially on that last walk at 10 PM at night, seems almost a bridge too far to cross in your environment. Do the dogs become experts in holding it, & then being very quick about their business when they do go out?

  • @AdamOfNebb - lol, I really need to make myself a nice blogspot again like I did when I was in my dad's basement. Unfortunately my basement is a huge mess from all the renovations in the past 2 years.

I've tried those popular Rubix Cube videos (and even favourited one) but the guy showing the demonstration goes too fast. I almost need to put it on slow-mo or something! :( Usually I just end up using an online computer program to solve it completely.

  • @dafttool - Its interesting that you mention this because about 1 year ago my sister wanted to do some church stuff in Tijuana Mexico and my parents were like NO WAY.

However, most Canadians are confident about our safety in resort cities like Cancun and (most everyone's favourite) Puerto Vallarta. In the past 5 years, 112 Canadians have been killed in accidents, murders, drownings or suicides. From that number only 15 Canadians were murdered or died in suspicious deaths.
