You can tell in his voice that Geezer is completely heartbroken that Ronnie's gone. Geezer truly is a diamond Geezer.

I don't think i will ever get over the death of RJD. I followed his career since 1980. Saw him four times. Twice solo and twice with Heaven and Hell. And Geezer is definitely right. He was, and still is, the best rock/metal singer of all time! It will be a very long time before somone comes along that is better - if ever.

I was kid of surprised at myself for the way Dio's passing affected me . I felt the same way when Geo. Harrison and Joe Nuxhall ( I listened to Reds' baseball on radio all my life ) People who I never met , but nevertheless had a huge impact on my youth and what I hope is the just the first half of my life . The phenomenon of 'elderly rock stars is something unique to my generation. We are the first to see our rock icons get old .
