LCA has some major problems even after its induction, the most important one being a lack of thrust; the test flights have only reached M1.4 and 4Gs. The Indians don´t know which engine to fit in the LCA since their "indigenous" Kaveri-engine is years from working, if it will work at all. Jet-engine companies from both Russia and France have trying to fix it, but it seems to be at a dead end. Any new engine they choose will require major redesign of the fuselage.

and about problems hahhah.my friend it is not me..these problems have been mentioned on ur websites like times of india,bharatrakshak,livefist,the hindu,indian express..
another problems: it can pull 6 gs.it has ristricted AoA.(22)

1.LCA is over weight.2.it has crossd development jas 39gripen.3.LCA is not 4th gen fighter(IAF chief)4.still pending for FOC5.having low wing loading6.LCA can not carry ful payload.7can not take off in rain8.it has 2 primarly controle surfaces
now reply me how LCA is better than JF with these problems..and piont to be noted these problems were mentioned by ur own websites...LOL!!
Lol...im not sure how to calculate T/w ratio but it's DEFINATELY NOT 0.82. As u can see from this video, LCA can make Near Vertical climbs, which shows that it's T/W ratio is near to 1.00.
1. J-17 uses an old RD93 engine, which is nothin great.
2. Airframe is completely made of metal, increases weight.
3. LCA is more agile and maneverable due to it's Delta wing design.
And there's no JF-3 yet....JF-2 is being developed

See this above video at 0.25 where the LCA takes off, it cannot make such a climb with a T/w of only 0.82.
LCA is overweight???? It's LIGHT because it contains less metal and more COMPOSITE materials.
