  • Thanks for the beautiful video!

  • Not all of the ukrainian priests are clean shaven. In Ukraina mostly greek-catholic priests are clean shaven. Orthodox priests are mostly bearded. But it is nothing special to find clean shaved orthodox priests of every tradition(greek, armenian, bulgarian, russian,....) in USA. Even bishops are beardless. It is something like a fashion of 20 century.... litle bit stupid i think.

  • Oh so lovely! I had no idead the Koshetz choir still existed! I know PaniOksana whose mother and father sang in the original in Ukraine. I love singing Leontovich compositions!

  • @SlavicMaleChorus Beards traditionally have been worn by Greek and Russian clergy while the Latin priests of the West are more generally clean-shaven (though some wear beards). The Ukraine has received considerable influence from her Latin Catholic neighbors (Poland and Hungary in particular), so this may be the reason.

  • Why do Russian Priests have beards and Ukrainian Priests are clean shaven?
