@watermelonsoda121 as far as i know, u need to dry the shirt for 24 hours and then wash it. u dont want the dyes to wash out.

I'm preparing for a tie dye night, for 20 person, and I live in Egypt. I don't know where can I get the soda ash :(
what will happen if i didn't use the soda ash, will the color last for few days or it won't work at all ?!!!
and if i won't use the soda ash, should the t-shirts be wet ??

it will work, but the color wont be as bright and wont adhere to the shirts as well, yes the shirts should be presoaked!

hey what if i started with a shirt that was already colored....like say bright yellow?

I just wanted to tell you that after watching your video I was able to throw my 8 year old a tie dye party for her and 19 of her closest girlfriends. The shirts came out PERFECT and no one was a mess!! thanks so much for doing this video.
ps. we all did the swirl technique and they were fabulous!!
