  • Hi :))

thanks a lot for your simple video, it's very helpful. Actually I have a question.

I'm preparing for a tie dye night, for 20 person, and I live in Egypt. I don't know where can I get the soda ash :(

what will happen if i didn't use the soda ash, will the color last for few days or it won't work at all ?!!!

and if i won't use the soda ash, should the t-shirts be wet ??

  • it will work, but the color wont be as bright and wont adhere to the shirts as well, yes the shirts should be presoaked!

  • hey what if i started with a shirt that was already colored....like say bright yellow?

  • it wont work very well

  • I just wanted to tell you that after watching your video I was able to throw my 8 year old a tie dye party for her and 19 of her closest girlfriends. The shirts came out PERFECT and no one was a mess!! thanks so much for doing this video.

ps. we all did the swirl technique and they were fabulous!!

  • i'm happy they came out so well!
