this reminds me of my dad...he would lay in bed and sing this song. He passed away from lung cancer in 1980, just before I turned 10. It doesn't make me sad, it makes me smile because I can still hear him singing. Loved my daddy...miss him something awful.

This was totally fucking AWESOME..... I don't know how else to describe it! Maybelle , AJ , June, Anita and the likes have since gone.... as well as Johnny. I'd pay good money to see the children, and grandchildren maybe even great grand kids perform again. Sad to see that they don't carry on the tradition

Great great performance!

Music royalty.

I sulk in the fact that I will never have a love with anyone like Johnny and June had...

The Nimmo Brothers do an amazing version of this in their acoustic set. They've never recordered it but for me it is the highlight of their show.

This video tears me up. I am watching very talented women back up the great Johnny Cash. His voice overcomes their talent, and brings tears to my eyes.

Is Johnny's sister Joanne in this video?

it might be two stupid questions but I really like to know which concert this is? And Helen Carter never is divorced, is she? Just wondering about that.

@kunos15me 1981 Wembley Stadium, London, England. Helen passed away 2 June, 1998. She was always married to her husband, Glenn. Predeceased by son, Ken in 1969.
