This 31 second video shows a wonderful shooter named Laura practicing the Swish Free Throw from four different distances. Look for the beautiful, consistent and repeatable Release motion, the arm fully locking at the same speed every time, and the hand bouncing due to the wrist and hand being totally relaxed. These clips will be featured in "Swish 3," Tom Nordland's third Swish video, due out by September. Watch for it!
One more thing also, how do I develop a quicker jumpshot? I find that when I generate upforce for a long distance shot e.g. just in front of the 3 point line, it takes me longer than other people to generate the upforce. I've watched Stephen Curry a LOT, and I've noticed with awareness that he dips down very quickly to catch the upforce, yet he catches a large amount of upforce in that very small period of time, yet it takes me longer. If we assume he takes 1 sec, we could assume that I take 2.

Tom, I find that I'm quite weak and I have to jump to make the distance on my free throws. And I don't have 3 point range although I want it and need it quite badly as a point guard. How do I work towards developing more range so I can shoot free throws with just a simple rocking motion like in this video and so I can make the 3 point distance? Thanks a lot. Btw, the Swish Method has helped me greatly in the past 5-6 months. Thanks for that too.

Too bad Swish comes out in September,
Swish 3 would be perfect right now for the off season,
But Swish 1 & 2 are still boss
