this is STILL one of the strangest and most beautiful pieces of music
I have ever heard. It's like the music from dreams you forget as soon as you wake up.

@keesimo no doubt, I didn't mean to sound trife.
-
@stillphil On point meaning the interlude was on point. But Thanks for the synth lesson, didn't know the obx came out that early, My first time seeing it was in the Van halen jump video.
-
@keesimo this was recorded in 1975...Tom Oberheim's OBX came out in 1979 OBX a 1981 so that's really not on point at all.

@yungatown "was" ? It still takes the same level of genius to hear this and compose around it ,so you should continue to think of Larry the same way, "celebrate" the comprehension !
-
@freein2339 Well I'll be ! wow after all these years it's brand new.
Thanks billynunn and freein2339
It is indeed the changes of "season change they re-arrange..." backward
Much like how the mysterious acapella "aaah" interlude before 'Sunshine' is the "Aaah-aa-aaah" outro harmonies of Can't Hide Love ...BACKWARD.
EW&F is (even more) incredible (in 2011). wow.

@stillphil wonderfully put.

Beautiful and mystical! Forgotten Dreams would be a nice title!
-
I've loved this since i first heard it in the 70's.

@billynunn, it's the ewf song celebrate backwards. He just did overdubs on the minimoog on a slower pitch and flipped the multitrack reels on the opposite side and this marvelous piece was born!
IT'S A SONG BACKWARDS, GUESS WHICH ONE !!!!! LOL

Larry Dunn was the reason I started playing keyboards. He was an intricate part of EWF, writing, arranging & playing. Since he and Maurice left, the group will never be the same.
