Hands Together: Rural Villages in Haiti

Hands Together is a Catholic missionary charity working in Haiti, the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Founded in 1986 by Father Tom Hagan and Doug Campbell, Hands Together operates schools and clinics and food programs in the Port-au-Prince slum of Cite Soleil and in the rural areas of the Diocese of Gonaives.

Hands Together works to open schools, clinics and nutrition centers in often forgotten, poor, rural regions of Haiti. They build wells so that villages will have clean water for drinking and irrigation of crops. They also educate young villagers about proper irrigation, maximizing yield, and selling crops for the benefit of their families and villages.
