White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod is asked by David Gregory why President Obama has not publicly acknowledged the death of Michael Jackson, Axelrod notes that Obama has written the family a letter, because "he felt that was the appropriate way to go."
In addition, "The President obviously believes he was an important and magnificent performer," Axelrod said. "He led a sad life... but his impact is undeniable."
