Rando Rides the Borrego Springs 600

San Diego Randonneurs ride the Borrego Springs 600. This tough route starts in the desert town of Borrego Springs and does a big loop, crossing into 4 Counties! Riders bisect the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park on their way along border towns of Jacumba, Campo and Tecate, before riding to the Pacific Ocean. North along the coast to San Clemente, then a return trip to Oceanside before heading inland for more climbing to Temecula. It's full gas on the flats to Hemet before turning southward on Sage Road and up to Sunshine Summit. Warner Springs, Ranchita and then the plunge down Monty's Grade back to the finish.... 40 hr. time limit on this ride & a whole lotta climbing too!
