http://wapo.st/f4sLPZ -- Students heed Obama's clean energy call, fight to keep Solar Decathlonon National Mall after being kicked off by DOI. It's unconscionable that the Department of Interior would kick the hard-working University students of the Solar Decathlon off the Mall and waste millions of dollars in a decision that's not in line with President Obama's commitment to renewable energy. We ask that Secretary Salazar do the right thing for the students, the taxpayers and the environment by reinstating the Solar Decathlon on the National Mall.

  • @itaico1 Thanks for your support, Itai! Yes, we believe that sharing important and innovative work like this needs as public a platform as possible! Putting the students' work and ideas back on the Mall will accomplish this important goal! All the best from us to everyone on the TU Delft (NL) Solar Decathlon Team for 2012!

  • Keeping the competition in the mall is crucial to it's goal: arousing interest and awareness of sustainable design and it's feasibility. Moving it to a less significant location is an insult to the research, the time and the effort these student teams has invested in the past two years to meet the demands of the competition.

On behalf of the TU Delft (NL) solar decathlon team for 2012, I wish you the best of luck and hope they would come back to their scenes.

    Itai

  • @mtoran78 Appalachian State all the way!!!! Spread the word!

  • Go AppState!!

  • @mitkoinhitko Pass this video along on Facebook, e-mail it to your friends and family, pass it up to your Congressman, and call the White House to show your support for the students who worked long hours on these projects. They are our future, and the public needs to see them, because a young and inspired public is also our future.

  • Inspiring!
