i thought that classical music wasnt for me but when i saw the red violin i just fell in love with the movie and the music ahhh!!! so awsome ^.^

@sisich Nope. Easy transition. Go for it bro. Bring all that shit together.
-
@sisich purely the opinion of someone who played violin and then switched to guitar, there are definetly applicaple traits the two share. The motion of fingering the "frey" board can help with flexibility and stretches as well as it being easier to adapt to strange hand positions. Other than that theres really no headstart, they're two very different instruments ^^ hope you enjoy them both if you get the oppurtunity.

The only hard part is the lack of frets, which means you need to be able to find the notes. But like everything, its just time and patience.

its not as hard to learn it after you've played guitar. if you've ever had played piano, then the notes from that would help you a lot. im just starting out and its not that hard...so far. haha! i've always had trouble with the guitar, but violin is so much easier. i think its because my hands are super tiny, and a guitar hurts my hands from all 5 or 6 strings. lol forgot how many strings are on it. its been a while.

its crazy how i love METAL! but i always found the violin to be so passionate, and ive always wanted to play, is it hard to learn violin after playing guitar for so long?

This is the most amazing movie I have ever seen. It meant so much to me because I play the violin.
Wonderful film and a wonderful score.
This is the piece I recall most from the film.
