and I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but that's ex Flying Buritto Brother/ ex Eagles bernie leadon on electric guitar standing behind Emmylou. that's pretty F'ing cool.

Can anyone please explain how she sings the harmony on this song? It sounds very distinctively Emmylou, but i can't put my finger on what she does - harmony-wise...

This is awesome. I think it's funny though how Ryan Adams starts off sounding like himself and less than halfway through it he falls right into sounding like Gram.

@Sidrat54 Seriously? Cold Roses? Jacksonville City Nights? Not to mention country songs among his other non-country albums (Pearls on a String comes to mind). Ryan has always been alt country. Hell, he's more country than 99% of the songs you hear on a 'country' radio station today. How could Gram Parson's not be an influence?

It takes balls to take on this incredible Gram tune. Adams nails it. Note Emmylou's smile near the end of the song. She approved. Me too.
