I think it sucks that you put this video with clear reasons why, and people just have to throw hate at you, I personally thought the tone was very good, and not far from JP's and that your playing is really good (certainly better than mine). It seems to me that there are a lot of unhappy people out there who have nothing better to do than vent at undeserving people on the net, and you know if they were in the same room as you at the time they would either compliment you or say nothing. Pathetic.

Cool! Don't let the haters get you down. It's one thing to get a great tone to the ear, another thing entirely to put it down to a recording and have it sound the same way. I personally didn't mind it - a bit buzzy for me but that's just personal opinion; and remember opinions are like a**holes - everybodys got one! Keep it up.

does it matter if you get the tone right or learn how to play the song right.... i just wonder if anyone realizes what Petrucci goes thru to get his tone well i dont have the money to waste to fine someones tone when my tone is good enough for me, plus most of you will never play out side your bedroom lol
