That girl is stupid. Even if the lap bar isnt tight enough for you to feel comfortable, You can push it down as much as you want. This ride is completely safe.
-
@BUFFA10sabres Agreed. It's sad
-
@heartcrusher237 Yeah he was joking. But he was also being a dick/asshole at the same time. Pretty much making fun of it. This is serious shit and it's not a joke.
-
@BUFFA10sabres You're kind of an idiot for not realizing he was being sarcastic. OBVIOUSLY it's not safe.
-
@TheGeekLeak you're a fucking idiot. A lap includes your thighs. It's obviously not safe. How rude of you.
-
This is probably the worst case of "news sensationalism" they've put into a story like this to make it sound like the amusement park is at fault.
-
I WENT ON THT RIDE!!! D:
-
And those girls on there are stupid "We were attached poorly" and stuff like that.. .He doesn't have legs. Duh.
-
The staff have seen the ride so many times.,, Shouldn't they know a PERSON WITHOUT LEGS does not ride this. + I've been here :D

Very tragic, but it's not the ride to blame, but the staff. Or more accurately the management for failing to properly train the workers who allowed Hackemer to ride.
Everyone needs to understand the ride itself was not at fault here and although its unfortunate a war veteran passed the blame should surely be on the park staff for allowing him on. Please understand that lap bars are NOT I repeat NOT made for people with amputated legs! Lap bars are made to secure a passenger by compressing the thighs down into the seat and how is that supposed to occur when someone is on with no legs?? I mean no disrespect but I think he AND STAFF used very poor judgement.
