Highlights of QB Russell Shepard, #1 on Takkle/Sports Illustrated's Top 200. Shepard has verbally committed to LSU. Russell is a quick and explosive athlete that a team can build on immediately. He can make most throws and change field position with his arm or legs on every play. Shepard is our #1 because he is the most dynamic and versatile player in the country. Some will be concerned about his size, don't be!

  • @Mclong3 he worked really hard his senior year to show that he wasn't just a runner and that he could pass. He had some really nice passes.

  • im really gonna say they might as well not have a QB if all hes ever gonna do is run the damn ball actually throw some more passes instead of running it your the QB not the runningback

  • @Coplongcutdipper try watching "tanner curtis"

  • @CCDawgs2009 lol yeah that one

  • Rueben Randle should start in LSU cause Jefferson can't do anything and neither can Jerett Lee so start Rueben in 2011!

  • so does he pass or is this it?

  • so does he have an arm or is this it i mean anybody can run with blockers

  • @xSHAVERx He has the character to be better. The kid seems genuine. I just hope he doesn't have his talent wasted due to stubborn coaching. I have heard rumors he hasn't grasped the offense.. RUN THE DAMN HS OFFENSE. my god, he obviously did well with that one. Spread option left, right and pass. THAT'S ALL HE NEEDS! Cam seems to be doing well with that offense. Guys act like Malzahn has some intense offense.. no. The play is RUN TH BALL CAM! He just isn't stupid enough to waste the talent.

  • @aevong If you actually watch his form and accuracy it is there. Why would a HS coach risk throwing passes to HS wide outs when he has a kid playing QB that can outrun everyone on the field? I have seen him play and I have seen him throw the ball. No it is not the tightest spiral, maybe he has smaller hands, but he has the arm and the accuracy. With the struggles JJ and JL have had at QB for LSU it is unfathomable why he has not seen some snaps. Give him the read option and a read option pass.

  • Russel Shepard for LSU QB anyone?
