Eddie said in damn near every interview for 11 years that Roth had been holding back the band and that Sammy broke open his song writing. Of course when Sammy booked, he took it all back. Eddie layed down for good when he tried to pass off Cherone on VH fans. I took a chance and saw Van Roth 2.0 and Eddie was so hammered,sloppy and out of tune I split. If he doesn't give a shit anymore, why should I?

Chickenfoot is what hapens when four killer musicians care.

I loved VH, and eddie is one of my idols. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and GOD DAMMED YES I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING and what joe is doing.

But I 'm sorry to say. Eddie never achieved the level of JOE.

I was hoping Eddie would show some new progress when I saw them in 2008.

Wow! was I dissapointed. Bitter sweet. Nevertheless; no reason to bag on VH or CF. I thank GOD, the FOOT has brought Rock and Roll Back. Kids. put down the rap for a day. See these guys LIVE AND LEARN.

Ok VH fans, Roth is washed up, can't sing worth beans, could never come close to Sammy's awesome vocals. What's VH without MA? He was just as part of the band as Sammy, that being said, just how are they suppose to fry Chicken with two key ingredients missing from VH recipe? They can't. Chickenfoot kicks ass, no doubt about it!

@skiyal8rdude-I feel the same way. I love Van Halen and Eddie riffs are some of the best in the world, but Joe is my favorite guitarist for a reason. Joe, by himself, has had more albums than Van Halen over the years. He's never burnt out and then to see him cranking out kick-ass rock riffs for Chickenfoot is just utterly amazing to me. He's almost as old as Eddie to boot. I just pray that the new Van Halen album is great and they won't be looked back in history as the band that just fell apart.

Ok, it's sad that everyone is calling VH gay knowing damn good and well when they were on top back in the day, you had their cassettes (yeah...cassette tapes), and went to the shows. I did. I rocked the shit out of VH back in the day. STILL DO! I love VH and they'll always be my all time fav. CHICKENFOOT on the other hand is a group of rockers who I think are having a blast doing what they love and not just putting out trash music for money. SO much talent in one band.
