  • Lonnie Frisbee was on fire for four years. His sin people are only speculating about. Maybe he had wars with his flesh and failed. Haven't you? Maybe as he breathed His last breath he said a sinner's prayer. All I know is that I may just be as bad as Lonnie...if not, worst. Lonnie raised awareness of Christ to thousands. Have I? Have u? Chuck is a man of God. No doubt love Calvary Chapel!May Lonnie be remember as just a man who loved God. We have all fallen short guys.

  • This is a classic case of someone who was very sincere about serving GOD and Christ and His Gospel, ... but who was very addicted to a sinful and carnal lifestyle on the side. Thus: true elders could NEVER allow such a thing to continue under their covering. I sincerely hope that Lonnie made things right with GOD before he left this earth. It would have been FAR BETTER if he had lived celibate.

  • My take is that we fried the messenger by our sancified criticism, and drained the young man by sucking up his overflow instead of embracing him as a growing brother. We all killed Lonnie Frisbee...slowly. And we would do it again, unless we repent.... hard. The time for such ugly games has come to an end. Its time to walk the walk! He who loves not, does not know God 1John 4. ps - greetings to Will Haak who has the courage to stand up. My number is 403-998-4429

  • I was there. I was Helped by them all. I am still on fire for God from 18 to 53. God uses open people not perfect. He that is with out sin throw the first stone, Will Haak

Wow. Very astute of you to determine that from a 2:29 video that has a definite agenda. Better hope that you are judged a little more fairly when the time comes.

  • @kostarican The sinners prayer does not save you. There's no evidence in the new testament that any such people were ever "saved" in such a way. No man can serve two masters. You can't serve Jesus and serve the god of your flesh. You won't be saved unless you leave everything and take up your cross and follow him. When He says everything. He means EVERYTHING, including your lusts.

Why is it important to say that it was all about Lonnie? This seems pretty man-centered to me.

  • It's obvious that Lonnie Frisbee was used by Chuck Smith to marketing gimmick to grow his Calvary Chapel church brand.

  • @mijadedios I thought so. I read it straight from C.Smiths own book. It's funny but thousands left CC because of this. But, now it's not talked about. As far as Lonnie being gay. You might consider that your Holy Bible was written by and witnessed by thieves, prostitutes, murderers and adulterers amongst many. Your not running from the bible are you? If you leave because someone was Gay, you might leave your next church because the Pastor is an adulterer.

  • The fact that CC pastors go to great lengths to talk about the 'hippie Jesus movement' as though it was all on the up and up is disgusting. Just tell people Chuck Smith was a church planter looking for a hit gimmick which he found in a gay hippie, that CS prophesied falsely, and then let me decide if I want to continue in CC, don't cover it up misleading many...That's what wolves do, if CS or CC's are of God speak in the light that which is whispered in the dark.

  • @MusicCityMiracle yes he did. It's easy to find on the internet. Ppl shouldn't follow him. After learning CC was created off a gay preacher and that Chuck Smith Prophesied falsely--trust me I want to flee. Right now our family is praying about where to go. CC pastors don't admit to all this-they are stuck in a cult too. so sad.
