Bill Jay taught the History of Photography for nearly a quarter century at the University of Arizona. Over the course of his career he became friends with many of the best known photographers, and often took their pictures. In this video he talks about how he started taking the photographs, and explains why he did it. Then he explains how he has gone about selecting those which will go into his new book, "Photographing Photographers"
My mentor! Took 2 of his classes at Arizona State, spent several hours in his office in discussion...AND bought some original artwork of his at his garage sale in Mesa! I miss you Bill and cherish our times together.
