One of the best Cheng style renditions of the Wujiapo scene from the Beijing opera Hongzong liema (lit. War horse with red mane). After 14 (?) years absence Xue Pinggui successfully returns home as the commander of the foreign invaders of China to his poor wife, the daughter to the last Tang prime minister Wang Yi - Wang Baochuan, who has forsaken a life in the palace for Pinggui. She does not recognize him so he plays a trick on her to test her loyalty but she passes the test with honour.
