@transtlantic The developement of science and medicine is by intelligence with trial and error and we already exist because of a preexisting design. You need a design to adapt. You cannot adapt without a design (in the real world).

I can tell you something you don't know: there are spiders that eat fish, they actually go "fishing" for fish. did you know this?
You can learn the theory and simulate, making the future action without mistakes. That's what i do in surgery: i practice in simulators or animals and read about the method, before handling the patient. this way you don't comit mistakes. All thanks to science.

I watched the whole series. It's quite good.
I will say this much: I didn't always believe in evolution. It took a well-educated science professor in my sophomore year to convince me. After that, I couldn't believe what I was missing out on! So much in this world I now want to understand - so much so I became a science major.
Point being, our society is poorly educated out of high school. With a bit more science education, I am sure many others will come to love that which they fear.
