Looking Nadir Over Central America to New England

This unique video looks directly down at the Earth (nadir) from the nadir-looking Cupola window. The pass begins looking down at the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, and the first land that is seen is that of Costa Rica and Panama. The ISS continues northeast over the Caribbean Sea before flying over Jamaica, eastern Cuba, and western Haiti. Passing these islands, the ISS flies over the shallow waters surrounding Great Inagua Island, Acklins Island, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. The pass ends as the ISS flies northeast over the Atlantic Ocean, just east of the eastern coast of the United States.

This video was taken by the crew of Expedition 30 on board the International Space Station. The sequence of shots was taken January 2, 2012 from 15:01:52 to 15:12:32 GMT, on a pass from just west of Central America to east of New England in North America.
