Even a great artist changes over time, as all. Bowie has always given great and increasingly aware performance on this song, one of his immortal masterpieces. He's also always been very careful about choosing the components of his bands, as well as on the musical arrangements. Making comparisons on tens of years is absurd, useless, index of backwardness... sterile. Thank you!
