They have already asked the Icelandic government if they can utilize the base for their private air force, and are willing to pay 200 billion ISK to do so.

However, the Campaign Against Militarism - in Icelandic group originally founded in opposition to the NATO base - is strongly against the idea. They point out that the comany's background is shrouded in mystery, and that they amount to a mercenary group. Furthermore, the company was denied operation permission in Canada.

Iceland has resources in the underground, it's also one of the few countries in the world the has an "endless" source of renewable energy, which would make their society a "threat" to the BB Group or whoever would want to control the world.

Canada has no debts to worry about compared to ability to pay them.

@NielsC68, unlike oil, most of the energy supply in Iceland is not movable, witch makes it worthless outside the island. Water can be a big resource, but I just think iceland is not the only one with a massive amount of water to supply. Canada most have a big supply of fresh water.

I don't believe in the "BB group", the world just is not that simple. But I belive in powerfull people! The bigger they are they bigger they fall! It take no more than a mouse to make an elephant run.
