@bluejeans121 I know, im a liverpool fan, but always want midands teams to do well, but like you said Bruce did so much for Birmingham, getting them promoted in the first place back in 2002, and was treated like garbage just before he left. Even Mcleish who won them their first trophy in god knows how long got stick not because he went to Villa, but for defensive football. Well that defensive football won them silverwhere. No pleasing some people.
@Walkerman404 couldn't agree more. He's too good to play in the Championship. If someone offered you a new job with a nicer office and more money you'd take it straight away. Blues fans always part on bad terms with players and managers. Bruce got us in the prem after nearly two decades of being away from top flight, and we booed him out? It's just wrong.
You can talk about what he done for us but let's be honest with out us taking him into the prem he'd still be nothing at cadiff same as scott dann with coventry......
Dont know too much about BCFC but I watched last years League Cup Final and Johnson was heroic for you guys. I seem to remember him playing the last 10 minutes when he was clearly injured as I think you had used up all you subs ? For the ex-captain to lift the first trophy at your place in years (or ever ?) I think that the treatment that some gave him was way over the top and completely undeserved. It wasn't his fault you went down. He was one of your best players.
the whole squad including roger "more mony" johnson let us down by fucking off shows there is no loyalty in footy with this new generation of footballer they deserve the stick they get johnson will disapear into thin air with the dingles they will end up in the championship anyway sure as eggs is eggs
I don't agree with this what so ever. I was gutted to see him go, especially to the Dingles of all places, but I think given the choice he would never have wanted to leave. I think he was grateful to go off, and watching the replay he looked gutted to get that kind of abuse. Especially given the fact that we still cheer Joe Hart. I know it's not quite the same but I think we are forgetting here what Johnson did for our club!
Dont see whats wrong with him leaving to join another premiership team, I mean he is too good for the championship, just like Scott Dann, Ben Foster, Craig Gardner, and Seb Larsson all are. Ok he was better with Dann next to him, but still a good player. Fair enough, he went to Wolves, but its not like he went to villa like mcleish did, the guy deserves to play in the premier league whats wrong with that?
It's not our fault you can't stay in the premiere league..
