Hey just abit of a squirt up the road trying to record the speedo .Vid recorded on my phone. lol i almost went into the curb trying to get the phone on the speedo. wasnt really trying. Look at the rpm gauge when i change to 3rd! Looks to me like its struggling to grip properly, or are they all like that?

Its a vz alloytec 3.6L v6 6spd manual holden by design ute.

only mods are twin 2.5 xforce catback exhaust
2 hole mod to airbox
and lowered.

  • in third,its sliping, that, get a 6 puk,and fly high

  • @salmontin

That's where I got mine done, they did an extremely good job on both my vz and vg utes.

  • it really does slip when your trying to dump 1st with 4 drunks in the tray.

    long story

  • lol get a double plated clutch

  • you have to replace it every now and then

  • yeah your clutch is slipping but it would if you constantly drive it like that

i had the same thing in my work ute once i replaced the clutch i treated it more nice and had no probs

  • deffinatly something wrong there mate !

  • That light is because of the air flow running through the cats, basically the computer thinks the cats are RS as exhaust gas is going through the sensors alot faster.

I had the same thing with my VZ SS Thunder.

Put new cats in and up comes the light. You can pull the main fuse and it'll reset for a while.

Get a tune and it'll discard the code.

    Good luck

  • yeh i drive a vz ute alloytec with extractors aswell, my engine light comes on aswell, says theres a code error with the oxy sensor in the cats, i got aftermarket hi flo cats aswell..apparently the guys at castle hill exhaust in sydney do cold air induction and tune for about 1500 and expect around 30+rwhp gain, they might be able to fix the light problem

  • vz v6 ute.. mine lasted 5000km and started to slip... supercharged it and it lasted 2 days.. pulled it out and it was cooked!
